(DALLAS, Texas, July 11, 2006)—Magazine Partners, the custom publishing division of D Magazine, has won two APEX Awards in the Apex 2006 competition. The 18th annual APEX Awards recognize excellence in publications in editorial, graphic design, and overall communications excellence.

Magazine Partners received an “Award of Excellence” in the “custom published magazines & journals” category for the inaugural issue of the technology magazine, synnovation, and an “Award for Excellence” in the “covers” category for the May/June 2005 issue of Sally Beauty, a fashion, beauty, and wellness publication.

The APEX Awards garnered more than 5,000 entries. The judging panel included John DeLellis, concepts editor and publisher, and Carolyn Mulford, senior writer and editor of Writing that Works.
