(DALLAS, Texas, November 28, 2006)—D Custom, the custom publishing division of D Magazine, has won a Pearl Award for Sally Magazine from the Custom Publishing Council (CPC).
The Silver Award was given to D Custom for Best Overall Design for publications with a circulation of 50,000 to 250,000. Sally Magazine competed against titles from publishing giants such as Rodale and Time, Inc.
The Pearl Awards recognize the marriage of journalism and commerce, celebrating reader-driven content that conveys a sponsor’s message. The Awards evaluate publications for editorial and design excellence, as well as strategic execution. The CPC, which received 455 entries for this year’s competition, is the leading professional organization representing custom publishers in North America. Pearl Award judges included professionals from journalism, academia, marketing, and publishing.
